<p>1,183,856. Surgical drape sheets. JOHNSON & JOHNSON. 25 July, 1967 [25 July, 1966], No. 34161/67. Heading A5R. A folded surgical drape sheet has the portion adjacent one side edge 6 fanfolded to form a plurality of folds stacked on a middle portion 14 of the sheet, the portion 13 adjacent the other side edge 5 being folded either a) to form a fold lying below the stack of folds on the middle portion of the sheet or b) to form a second plurality of folds stacked on a middle portion of the sheet adjacent the first plurality of folds. A portion 9 of the drape I is fanfolded along fold lines F 1 , F 2 , F 3 to form a stack (A, Fig. 3) of folds lying on a part 14 of the remainder portion 17 of the drape, the other part 13 of the remainder portion 17 being folded along a line F 4 to form an outermost fold (16) which lies directly on the part 14. Alternatively, the remainder portion 17a, Fig. 8, also may be fan-folded to form a second stack B spaced from the first stack A<SP>1</SP> and lying on a part of the remainder portion. The edge of the top fold (15) of the stack (A) which is formed by a side edge 6 of the drape sheet may be innermost of the other edge of the top fold and may be folded under itself (Fig. 10). Where two stacks are provided, the lowermost fold 50 of each stack on the side adjacent the other stack is not completely covered by the folds above it to provide an accessible hand-receiving flap. A drape sheet folded to form one or two stacks of folds may be further folded along fold lines at right angles to the first fold lines to form one or two further stacks (E, F, Fig. 11) of folds.</p> |
