PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To cut down a back up memory for storage in an image forming apparatus, and reduce the continuous operation until an error is generated again, and a wasteful operation or the generation of usage fee for notifying the error which occurred again through a communication line. SOLUTION: In a management communication method, an image forming apparatus includes an image forming apparatus, a management communication unit connected to a communication line for managing the image forming apparatus, a communication means between the image forming apparatus and the management communication unit, and a monitoring unit connected to the management communication unit through the communication line.
