PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To suppress the loss of traps transmitted from an agent to a manager to the minimum when a LAN communication is impossible. SOLUTION: A LAN monitor control unit 11 makes a trap processing part 13 to check the possibility of the communication by a LAN 3 in a prescribed cycle. When the LAN communication is possible, the trap processing part 13 transmits the trap issued at a trap issue section 12 to the manager via the LAN 3. While, when the LAN communication is impossible, the trap issued at the trap issue section 12 is saved in a local buffer 14 until the LAN communication becomes possible again, as soon as the LAN communication becomes possible again, the trap saved in the local buffer 14 is transmitted to the manager via the LAN 3.
