PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a manufacturing method and device of a color selection electrode for a color cathode-ray tube, providing tension force distribution with high accuracy without deforming the color selection electrode device, and excellent in productivity and practical use. SOLUTION: A relationship between an amount of displacement of a moving member for applying a force to a frame member via an elastic member, and a force applied to the frame member is obtained to inversely calculate an amount of displacement required for applying a desired load to the frame material.
