摘要 PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a liquid crystal display device the transmittance of which has excellent in-plane uniformity. SOLUTION: The liquid crystal display device 1 is equipped with first and second substrates placed opposite to each other; a pixel electrodes 10 disposed on the surface of the first substrate opposite to the second substrate; a common electrode disposed on the surface of the second substrate opposite to the first substrate and a liquid crystal layer interposed between the pixel electrode 10 and the common electrode. The pixel electrode 10 is provided with a plurality of sub-pixel electrodes 10A to 10C, separated from and electrically connected to one another wherein each of the plurality of sub-pixel electrodes 10A to 10C is provided with a plurality of comb-shaped conductive layers 10a to 10d of which the shapes of the teeth of comb in the longitudinal directions are mutually different and which are mutually electrically connected. The shapes of patterns formed of the mutually different longitudinal directions are mutually identical among the plurality of sub-pixel electrodes 10A to 10C, and the directions of the patterns are mutually different among the plurality of sub-pixel electrodes 10A to 10C.
