PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a nonwoven fabric having high stiffness and excellent in a shielding property and filter characteristics, a filter scarcely causing deformation by fluid resistance in filtering operation and a filter having good dust-sweeping-away property, long filtering life, high filtering accuracy and well-balanced performances. SOLUTION: A polyester nonwoven fabric having 0.10-1.50 N/2 three-point-supported flexural rigidity and 3-20 cc/cm<SP>2</SP>Frazier air permeability is used. For example, a nonwoven fabric A layer having 7-15μm fiber diameter and 10-50 g/m<SP>2</SP>weight as a surface layer material, a nonwoven fabric B layer having 15-270 g/m<SP>2</SP>and composed of a core-sheath type conjugate fiber in which the sheath component comprises a low melting point polyester having 110-250°C melting point and the core component comprises a polyester having 185-300°C melting point and 20-50μm fiber diameter and a polyester nonwoven fabric C layer having 30-200 g/m<SP>2</SP>are integrally laminated to provide the polyester conjugate nonwoven fabric.
