PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent cooling water from boiling locally in a gas cooler whose gas inlet side is bent. SOLUTION: A cooling water inflow port 24 is provided on the portion of the exhaust inflow side of a heat exchanger core part 15 opposite to the center O of curvature of a bonnet 21 across the centerline CL of a casing 20. The inflow port 24 is thus located in a position on the exhaust inflow side of the heat exchanger core part 15 which corresponds to a portion where the flow distribution of exhaust is larger than in other areas, so that low-temperature cooling water flows into the portion of the heat exchanger core part 15 where the heat flux of exhaust is great, and so that the velocity and flow of the cooling water flowing in the portion where the heat flux is great can be increased. The cooling water can thus be prevented from boiling locally and a decrease in the heat-transfer efficiency of the gas air conditioner 10 can be prevented. COPYRIGHT: (C)2004,JPO
