PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To further enhance effect which prevents gas and liquid from coming inside a work from an outer peripheral edge of a rivet head part in a self-boring type rivet fastening part. SOLUTION: In this self-boring type rivet (10) comprising the head part (11) and a solid or hollow leg part (12) extruded from a back surface of the head part, at least one contiguous V-shaped annular projection (15) is formed on the back surface of the head part(11).
