PURPOSE: To improve the generality and operability of polarized glasses in the case of observing images displayed on the picture display screen of a stereoscopic picture display device. CONSTITUTION: The polarized glasses are provided with a polarized light separation means 2 capable of separating specific polarized light and consisting of a 1st observation area 2a for enabling a user to observe the image with a single eye, i.e. the left eye El or the right eye Er, and a 2nd observation area 2b for enabling the user to observe the image by the other eye; a 1st polarization direction conversion means 5 stuck to one surface 3 of the 1st observation area of the polarized light separation means 2; and a 2nd polarization direction conversion means 6 stuck to the other surface 4 which is the opposite side of the surface 3 of the 2nd observation area of the polarized light separation means 2.
