<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a cartridge equipped with a memory in which reliability is ensured in updating data. <P>SOLUTION: An ink cartridge 10 is provided with a memory control section 15 for controlling a processing involving rewriting of data into a memory 14. When the processing for rewriting (erasing or writing) the content of the memory 14 on the cartridge 10 side is specified by radio from the controller 22 of a printer 20, data is rewritten for a specified address of the memory and when the response of end (acknowledge) is returned, information of an address corresponding to the specified address is returned. On the side designated to execute the processing involving rewriting of the content of the memory 14, rewriting of data for a correct address can be verified by reading that address. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2004,JPO |
