<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for effectively preventing counterfeit of a paper- or film-like medium. <P>SOLUTION: In one example of a solution means, a semiconductor chip with a thin antenna with a 0.5 mm or less of square in the medium is embedded, and a side wall of the semiconductor chip is formed of an oxide film, and is separated from the semiconductor chip by etching. A size of the semiconductor chip is limited to 0.5 mm or less to bring improvement for bending and a concentrated over-load, the etching separation provides the semiconductor chip free from crack breakage, and short circuiting in an edge portion is prevented by the oxide film of the side wall when contacting with the antenna, allowing a simple process adoption. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2004,JPO |
