PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a digital writing apparatus which suppresses an increase in circuit size.
SOLUTION: When a manuscript is inserted into a reading control part 100, a reading control circuit 107 detects the size of the manuscript and informs a system controller 302 of the size thereof. The system controller 302 sets an address of an image writing position in a light-emitting diode (LED) writing control circuit 502 of a writing control part 500 in accordance with the size of the manuscript. The circuit 502 transfers the set address of the image writing position to a random-access memory (RAM) part for image data, and the image data, which are sent from an image memory part 301, are written by an amount commensurate with an image size. The arbitrary address of the image writing position is set for the circuit 502 from the system controller 302, and the circuit 502 controls the set address of the image writing position, so that the required image data can be output to an LED-array printer head (LPH) 503 from an arbitrary position in a main scanning direction.
COPYRIGHT: (C)2004,JPO
|
