PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an optical disk device capable of reproducing extended information obtained through a communication line in association with information in a disk while security is maintained. SOLUTION: This optical disk device is provided with a control section for obtaining extended information by accessing a specific server through a communication line to execute authentication based on address information and authentication information read from the optical disk, and a reproducing section for reproducing and outputting the obtained extended information. When there is no optical disk, authentication is not carried out to obtain extended information. Thus, the extended information is reproduced with high security. COPYRIGHT: (C)2004,JPO
