PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a vibration damper having improved durability and reliability by suppressing the thermal influences of a vibration damping base member and a stopper rubber part without causing the stay of heat in a stopper fitting. SOLUTION: The vibration damper comprises a first mounting bracket, a second mounting bracket, the vibration damping base member 5 laid between both brackets, the stopper rubber part 16 protruded to the outside, and the stopper fitting 17 encircling it. The stopper fitting 17 is formed in a bent shape of a metal plate material, where a stopper plate portion 18 is provided extending to a plate base portion 23 in contact with the first mounting bracket 3 for continuously covering the stopper rubber part 16 at its upper face, radial outer end face and lower face and covering it at both side end faces in the direction of the peripheral length. A recess 22 is provided in the center of an upper side plate 24 of the stopper plate portion 18 and a through-hole 35 is provided in a rising face 22a thereof. COPYRIGHT: (C)2004,JPO |
