PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To realize stable fixing by maintaining the surface temperature of a press roll and surely heating and pressing recording paper at a nip part of a fixing roll and the press roll. SOLUTION: A heat pipe 33 is installed in contact with one part of the surface of the press roll 32. The temperature of the press roll 32 is made uniform by transporting the heat which is directly transmitted to an end part the press roll 32 from the fixing roll 31 by a heat pipe 33, and thus the deformation of an elastic base body 37 and an elastic body 38 at an end part of the press roll 32 due to expansion is prevented and the recording paper is surely heated and pressed at the nip part between the fixing roll 31 and the press roll 32.
