PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a portable terminal device in which, even if an incoming call is received during reproduction of data such as music, the incoming call can be transmitted without interrupting the reproduction of music or the like. SOLUTION: A portable telephone set 100 is constituted by having an antenna 1, a transmitting/receiving part 2 to be connected to a base station of a radio telephone network by radio, a control unit 4, a melody player 5 capable of storing/reading of sound data such as music in/from a storage medium, an earphone connection detector 6, an earphone jack 7 to be connected with an earphone microphone 8, a voice processing part 9, and a storage part 16 or the like. When the control unit 4 decides that there is an incoming call during operation of the melody player 5, while continuing the reproduction operation of the melody player 5, it informs the presence of the incoming call without using sounds by driving a vibrator 8a when the earphone mike 8 is connected to the earphone jack 7.
