POLYSILOXANE-GROUP-CONTAINING POLYMER

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a polymer suitable to be used as a hair cosmetic. SOLUTION: The polysiloxane-group-containing polymer comprises at least 10wt.% structural units derived from a hydrophobic monovinyl monomer, at least 30wt.% structural units derived from a hydrophilic monovinyl monomer, and at least 1wt.% structural units derived from a polysiloxane-group-containing vinyl monomer; the difference between the melting point of the polymer and that of a polymer comprising structural units derived from the hydrophobic monovinyl monomer alone is 10°C or less. A hair cosmetic containing the above polymer provides a good feel to the touch when used and maintains this effect. COPYRIGHT: (C)2004,JPO
