PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a recording device that solves the conventional problems by configuring a paper support to be always placed on a recording device body and that applies an added value to the paper support. SOLUTION: This recording device includes a feeding portion having a recording medium support 70 for supporting a long recording medium P, a recording portion 45, a means for conveying the medium P, and a recording medium receiving portion 50, and records at the recording portion 45 by conveying the medium P fed from the feeding portion with the means for conveying intermittently toward the downstream side and holds the recorded medium P by receiving the medium P at the receiving portion 50. The support 70 is placed on a base portion 80 in a manner that the rear end of the support can be switched between the standing position in use and the lying position in non-use with the rear end as a point of support.
