PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method and a device for coating a flat plate body to be coated capable of applying a coating agent on a surface to be coated and forming a coated layer of uniform thickness. SOLUTION: A nozzle part 6 of a delivery means 4 is disposed opposite to an information recording layer 32 formed on the surface 31a of a disk substrate 31. A plurality of nozzles 6a∼6h constituting the nozzle part 6 are arranged linearly in the radial direction of the disk substrate 31. The delivery means 4 branches out of one coating agent supplying system part 5 into a plurality of the nozzles and supplies the coating agent of liquid with the same pressure. The delivery ports of respective nozzles gradually increase the area from the inner peripheral side to the outer peripheral side. The disk substrate is rotated at a low constant speed, the coating agents are discharged from the respective nozzles and, thereby, the coating materials are made partially to overlap each other, are continuously applied and are left as it is coated with a uniform application amount. Thereafter, the flattening is performed without spreading treatment by means of the leveling operation of the coating agent. Subsequently, ultraviolet rays are applied, thereby, the curing is performed and the coated layer is formed. COPYRIGHT: (C)2004,JPO
