PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To enable reduction of the number of parts by a simple structure which leads to reduction of breakdowns, easy maintenance and inspection, and reduction of defective points and also enables operation by a small operating force. SOLUTION: A bathing care auxiliary apparatus comprises a shaft 5, an arm 2 mounted on the shaft 5 and for suspending a seat 30 and a bathing person sitting on the seat 30 at its one end, a spring 20 generating a force to cancel out a suspended load corresponding to the suspended load on the arm 2, a spring shaft 17 connected with the spring 20, a lever 2a integrally swingable with the shaft 5, a swinging shaft 16 swingably connected between the spring shaft 17 and the lever 2a and for transmitting to the arm 2 the spring force transmitted from the spring 20 through the spring shaft 17 by the lever 2a and the shaft 5, and a worm and wheel mechanism (14 and 15) for acting on the arm 2 to control the difference between the suspended load and the spring force through the shaft 5 and for vertically moving the bathing person sitting on the seat 30 by turning the arm 2 through operation of the shaft 5. This bathing care auxiliary apparatus is configured to swing the arm 2 vertically by rotation of the worm gear 14 and the worm wheel 15 through manual operation of an operation handle 10.
