PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a water absorbing material which affords excellent wearing feeling by preventing water leakage, wet feeling and exudation of water, and is washable for repeated use. SOLUTION: The water absorbing material is composed of at least two components, one is a component A of polycapramide polymer with a relative viscosity of≥2.30 and≤4.20 and the other is a component B of polyester polymer. This absorbing material is a fabric formed from splittable conjugated fibers with a single filament denier of 0.01-3 dtex, and has a void amount of≥10 cc per 100cm<SP>2</SP>and a thickness of 0.5-20 mm.
