PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an anti-pollution cover retaining structure of an endoscope operation section which facilitates the loading of the anti-pollution cover on or unloading thereof from the operation section and moreover, accurately prevents the infiltration of foul liquids into the cover from the side of the lower end part of the operation section linked to an insertion tube. SOLUTION: A band-like double-sided self-adhesive tape 10 is stuck so as to surround the external surface near 8 the link part of the operation section 1 to the insertion tube 2 in the endoscope, both end parts of the adhesive tape 10 are extended in the same direction from the stuck part to stick the internal surfaces of extension parts 10a together, and the internal surface part near the lower end 22 of an operation section anti-pollution cover 20 wrapping the operation section 1 is stuck on the external surface of the adhesive tape 10.
