<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a recovery method of valuables from a waste secondary battery which is capable of dismantling the outer package can of a a waste secondary battery, easily separating the battery contents from the package can, and further easily recovering a positive and negative electrodes, etc. from the separated battery contents. <P>SOLUTION: This is a recovery method for recovering valuables from a waste secondary battery having such structure that its contents are formed by winding a positive and negative electrodes and a separator, an outer package can for housing the contents, and a cap for sealing the outer package can. An annular caulking portion for connecting and fixing between the outer package can and the cap is mounted on the outer package can.
