OPTICAL HEAD AND IMAGING APPARATUS EMPLOYING IT

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an optical head in which image quality is prevented from lowering at the peripheral part remote from the central axis of a rod lens array by suppressing increase in the imaging area.

SOLUTION: Size (shape) of each light emitting element in a light emitting element line remote from the center line (central axis) C.L of the rod lens array 65 is varied depending on the distance from the C.L of the rod lens array to the peripheral part thereof. More specifically, the size of the light emitting element is decreased gradually from the central axis toward the peripheral part.
