<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a prophy chip capable of keeping efficiency in grinding without causing horizontal oscillation when concave interdental spaces or adjacent surfaces are ground and without using a grinding gel or paste, and also performing cleansing, grinding and polishing with little heat generation caused by friction. <P>SOLUTION: A hemispherical, circular cylindrical, cup shape, conical, reverse conical, or disk shape, etc., core material part 1 with a hollow cup shape inner part 1 is covered with a hydrophilic grinding stone sponge 2 enclosing a grinding agent. The peripheral edge of the sponge is force-fixed and folded to the inside of the core material by using a fitting board 3 with a shank given thereto, or forming a projection and a recession for holding. In the prophy chip, an axial part 4 is fixed so as to prevent resonance in the case of axial rotation with the rotary axis of a bottom surface in the fitting board 3 as a center. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2004,JPO</p> |
