<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an overwritten mark recognition device capable of accurately determining the presence or absence of an overwritten mark in the overwritten mark recognition device. <P>SOLUTION: This overwritten mark recognition device comprises a sample business form registration part 2 for registering the information in selection columns for sample business form images, a business form collation/ruled line removal part 3 performing the matching of the sample business form image to an overwritten mark entry business form image by receiving an output business from the sample business form registration part 2 to prepare a ruled line removal image, a selection item column type determination part 4 determining the type of the selection item columns by receiving an output business from the business form collation/ruled line removal part 3, an image preparation part 5 for determining an overwritten mark selecting a treatment suitable for the determined type and preparing an image for determining the presence or absence of the overwritten mark by receiving an output from the selection item column type determination part 4, and an overwritten mark determination part 6 for determining the presence or absence of the overwritten mark by using the image prepared by the image preparation part for determining the overwritten mark and by a method suitable for the determined type. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2004,JPO |
