PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a portable terminal device provided with a new face light-emitting part which can appeal to a user visually strongly and with full of varieties, and to effectively execute notification by light to the user when the incoming call is received or the like. SOLUTION: The portable terminal device is provided with a face light-emitting part arranged on a face outside a housing 14, and a panel member 50 which is attachable/detachable to/from the housing 14 so as to cover the face light-emitting part and of which at least the part is transparent or opaque. The surface of the face light-emitting part of the housing 14 is plane and has a means to lock the flat-plate like panel member 50 as the panel member 50 on the housing side. The whole of the face light-emitting part emits light when the incoming call is received or the like, and the panel member 50 emits light according to its pattern by this. COPYRIGHT: (C)2004,JPO
