PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To avoid simultaneously imaging of the private objects, while reducing the load on a system in the latter stage. SOLUTION: The apparatus images an object to generate image data, generates brightness data of a privacy mask according to a control signal including the position information of a masking area on an output screen, generates indication information for indicating the position of the privacy mask on the output screen according to the control signal, and combines so that the brightness data of the privacy mask and/or the indication information have the prior to the image data.
