PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a technique for generating compression data which can be more simply elongated as compared with the prior art. SOLUTION: A signal generator outputs a request signal to a buffer register in a buffer corresponding to a register having the highest preferential sequence in registers (sequence deciding unit) having a zero set value, and outputs compressed data to the register and an encoder of a data compressing apparatus (S110). If the compressed data are continuous number data, an operation signal is output to the register having the highest preferential sequence of the registers in which the continuous number data are set and a subtracter corresponding to the register having a higher preferential sequence than the previous register having the highest preferential sequence to down count the set value (compressed data). When any of the set values of these registers reaches zero, a request signal is output to the buffer register corresponding to the register having the set value of the zero, and the register outputs update compressed data (S120-S150).
