PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a high withstand voltage/high heatproof/high frequency power device that uses diamond as material. SOLUTION: A diamond is used as a material for a power device regardless of production methods of natural, high pressure, high temperature synthesizing, vapor phase growing, or combustion flaming. A diamond has excellent characteristics as a power device such as large band gap, high withstand voltage, high heat conductivity, low dielectric constant, high mobility of carrier, and high inter-atomic bonding force.
