PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To improve the operation rate of an unmanned carrier to be driven by a battery. SOLUTION: When it is supposed that the state of a specific area A11 including a switch-back section may be shifted to a state interrupting the progress of two or more unmanned carriers when a certain unmanned carrier 110 enters the specific area A11 in which another unmanned carrier already exists, the unmanned carrier 110 is charged by a charger 210 prior to the progress, so that the other unmanned carrier existing in the specific area A11 can travel and move to another area in the charging period. Then the unmanned carrier 110 advances to the switchback section. When another unmanned carrier does not exist in the specific area A11, charge by the charger 210 is omitted and the unmanned carrier 110 directly advances to the specific area A11. Thereby the advance interruption state can be evaded, unnecessary charging can be reduced and waiting time for charging can be omitted. COPYRIGHT: (C)2004,JPO |
