PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a protecting liner for ore receiving hardware in a blast furnace with which selective wear of the ore receiving hardware is not developed and the service life of this hardware in the blast furnace can further be extended and the protective liner is of lower cost and the manufacturing period is shorter than the conventional liner. SOLUTION: The protective liner for ore receiving hardware is the one fitted to the furnace inner surface side of the ore receiving hardware disposed at the furnace opening hole part of the blast furnace. Then, the shape of the protective liner is constituted by welding steel plate ribs as grate-state and a hardening build-up is performed at the furnace inner surface side of the steel plate ribs. Desirably, the shape of the protective liner is formed as a hook and plurality of protective liners are connectively arranged on the surface of the ore receiving hardware and a longitudinal joint of this connecting part is cut in the middle part.
