PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an unsaturated polyalkylene glycol-based copolymer composition containing a small amount of impurities, giving no deposition of the impurities during preservation at a low temperature and further improved in function and preservation stability in an aqueous solution of the unsaturated polyalkylene glycol-based copolymer which is a low molecular water soluble polymer excellent in dispersibility, chelating ability and gel resistance. SOLUTION: The unsaturated polyalkylene glycol-based copolymer composition has≥3 S value, the amount of introduced sulfur element S defined as S=(the amount of sulfur included in the polymer)/(total sulfur)x100.
