PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a vacuum packing machine for completely welding and sealing a mouth of a bag to be vacuum-packaged. SOLUTION: The vacuum packaging machine 1 comprises a box body 11, a lid 12 to seal the inside of the box body 11 when an upper part of the box body 11 is closed by an opening/closing member, a heater 13 provided inside the box body 11 with a wire-like upper surface thereof, a bag holding part 14 which is provided on the inner side of the box body 11 of the lid 12 with a holding surface 14s facing an upper surface 131s of a heating unit 13, and a vacuum pump for evacuating the inside of the box body 11. The holding surface 14s of the bag holding part 14 is curved so that the holding surface 14s of the bag holding part 14 is closely fitted to the upper surface 131s of the heating unit 13 in a state in which the bag holding part 14 is warped inwardly together with the lid 12 when the inside of the box body 11 is evacuated while the inside of the box body 11 is sealed by the lid 12.
