PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a lopper adjusting the position of a cutting head to a housing without effecting to jaw part width. SOLUTION: This lopper 10 used in carrying out a cutting, pruning work, or the like, is provided with the cutting head 12 having a spring biased blade 18 incorporating the jaw part 20, a drive mechanism 16 connected to the cutting head and a slim housing 14 connected to the drive mechanism. The drive mechanism 16 is provided with a first countering part 32 and a second countering part 34 selectively rotatable to each other around an axis 36 as capable of positioning to the housing of the cutting head, a first wheel 50 rotatable around the axis part and a second wheel 52 rotatable around the axis part and connected to the blade 18 by a headline 54 and a drive line constituting part providing a drive line 66, and the drive line rotates the second wheel together with the first wheel when pulled and holds the second wheel in a motionless state when the cutting head is positioned to the housing.
