PURPOSE: Provided are a device and a method for washing a polymerization reactor- observing window, which removes the pollution caused by monomers to improve the polymer quality and to look out the inside of the reactor with naked eyes. CONSTITUTION: The device for washing a window(10) for observing a polymerization reactor(1) comprises: a recovery tank(2) for storing the unreacted monomers; and a nozzle for spraying the unreacted monomers transferred to the inner surface of the window(10) by a pump(3) and an automatic control valve(4) in order to prevent the polymerization of monomers adhered on the window. The method comprises the steps of: transferring the unreacted monomers from the recovery tank(2) to the automatic control valve(4); transferring the unreacted monomers of which the amount is controlled by the automatic valve to the nozzle disposed on the inner surface of the window(10); and spraying the monomers from the nozzle to the window(10).
