PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for writing an optical disk by which an optical disk is produced in which time information is surely written in a front subcode Q of a track or index with no additional information such as an UP code and an ISRC code written therein. SOLUTION: The method for writing the additional information in the subcode Q of an optical disk 50 at a fixed sub coding frame interval, comprises an additional information position determining step for determining whether each of the additional information is written in the subcode Q located at the front of each track or each index, and an optical disk writing step for writing musical data in the optical disk 50 and also writing the additional information judged to be written in the subcode Q located at the front of the track or index in a subcode Q before or after a prescribed subcoding frame by several minutes.
