PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a disk storage whose operational speed is raised by reducing the overhead of a command control part in issuing seek commands. SOLUTION: In this disk storage, the seek command issued by a command control part 4 is transmitted to a seek command management part 11 and the seek command management part 11 transmits the received seek command to a head position control part 6 when the head position control part 6 is not in a seeking operation and the part 11 stores the received seek command in a memory 13 when the part 6 is in the seeking operation and the part 11 transmits the seek command to the part 6 by waiting the completion of the seeking operation of the part 6.
