PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To decrease the number of bit lines in a semiconductor integrated circuit including memory cells. SOLUTION: This semiconductor integrated circuit is provided with memory cells of (L×N) pieces having respectively ports of N pieces (N: natural number), bit lines of (M×N) lines connected respectively to ports of N pieces of memory cells of each column, word lines of L pieces for selecting one line out of memory cells of each column, and reading circuits of (M×N) pieces connected to memory cells of each column through bit lines of (M×N)lines and reading data stored in a memory cell selected by a word line.
