PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a quality determining method for determining the quality of a product having a magnetic circuit with high accuracy. SOLUTION: A rectangular pulse voltage is applied to a product to be determined having the magnetic circuit such as a buzzer 1 (step S1), and the vector data are is created by acquiring current values in transient response in the magnetic circuit at a plurality of points (step S2), and assigned to Mahalanobis distance formula derived in a standard space formed by the vector data to a good item (step S3). The obtained Mahalanobis distance is compared with a predetermined threshold value to distinguish a good item and an inferior item, thereby the quality of the product can be determined (step S4).
