PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a metal swarf treating apparatus adopting a new system which shears and tears metal swarf, crushes the same into pieces and quickly discharges the crushed pieces of the swarf to the outside. SOLUTION: The metal swarf treating apparatus is provided with a base body 12 having a charging chamber 11 into which the metal swarf is charged and a crushing means which shears and tears the metal swarf in the charging chamber 11 and crushes the same to pieces. A swarf engagement part 14 to which the metal swarf can be engaged is held on the base body 12. Further, a spiral rotation means 18 having a spiral engagement part 22 to which the metal swarf can be engaged is rotatably held on the base body 12. Respective one part and total two parts of flanges 35, 36 on the both ends of axial length direction of the spiral engagement part 22 are disposed. COPYRIGHT: (C)2004,JPO
