PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain an exposure dose according to the body type of a subject. SOLUTION: An X-ray CT apparatus is provided with an X-ray tube 40 and an X-ray detector 90 so as to oppose each other across a patient 100 and reconstructs a CT tomogram of the patient based on the detection signal of the X-ray detector. The apparatus is provided with a storage means 1 which stores information regulating a size to dose relation previously detected and prepared per a phantom 60 for the dose detection of different sizes; a size information arithmetic means 2 for obtaining size information on a cross section vertical to the body axis of the patient based on projection data of each channel obtained by scout scanning the patient from at least one direction; and a dose arithmetic means 3 which obtains the exposure dose by CT photographing of the patient by referring to the information regulating the size-to dose relation based on the obtained size information.
