PURPOSE: To save total power consumption of a system by an arrangement wherein a status acquisition request from a network is met by a sub-CPU under sleep state. CONSTITUTION: When power control mode is power saving mode, a single chip microcomputer Q702 being supplied with power in place of a main chip Q701 responds to a status acquisition request through a network connection means with a status being detected. When a specified job processing is requested, a normal waiting mode is reset and the main chip Q701 is operated to deliver the job processing request received by the single chip microcomputer Q702.
