PURPOSE: A buffer apparatus for compensating transmission path difference in optical transmission system is provided to prevent loss of data by correcting a differential delay difference even though data is received through several transmission paths after being processed in a virtual concatenation. CONSTITUTION: A write address generator(1) recognizes header information of data transmitted through several transmission paths in virtual concatenation and outputs accurate write address information. A read address generator(2) recognizes header information of multiframe data and outputs accurate read address information. A buffer memory(3) stores the received multiframe data in a pertinent storing area on the basis of the address information generated by light address generator(1) and extracts and outputs data of a corresponding area by the read address information of the read address generator(2). |
