FIELD: polymer materials. SUBSTANCE: invention relates to manufacturing macrospheres larger than 1 mm in size and suitable for manufacturing structural materials in aircraft industry, mechanical engineering, construction of surface and underwater floating means, for lifting deep object to water surface, and also as oilcollecting sorbent. Macrospheres are manufactured by uniformly coating lowdensity granules with polymer composition-based hardenable binder in cylindrical tape mixer provided with multitape stirrer having uni- or variably-directed tapes. Ratio of one-hour volume output of band mixer to its working volume value varies between 6.1 and 60.0 m3/m3.h. Further, stream of wetted granules is powdered with powdered filler in mixer provided with comb stirrer and spherical shell is formed on the surface of granules. Rectification macrospheres are removed from the installation and solidified. EFFECT: enhanced process efficiency at properly selected conditions and productivity of installation. 4 cl, 2 tbl |
