COLOR-PRINTING METHOD FOR INK JET PRINTER

PURPOSE: A color-printing method for an ink jet printer is provided to save color ink, which are consumed more than other color ink, by allowing a user to select various printing modes when an amount of remaining color ink becomes lower than a reference value. CONSTITUTION: An amount of remaining color ink in each ink cartridge is detected(S110). Then, the amount of remaining color ink in each ink cartridge is displayed(S120). After that, it is checked whether or not there are ink cartridges in which remaining color ink is smaller than a reference value(S130). If there are no ink cartridges having color ink smaller than the reference value, printing work is normally carried out(S140). If there are ink cartridges having color ink smaller than the reference value, an alarming message is generated and a printing mode selecting message is displayed in a printing mode selection window(S150).
