PURPOSE: A read screw stopper of an optical disc drive is provided to prevent generation of a physical gap between a read screw and an insertion hole when an optical pick-up is moved. CONSTITUTION: A read screw stopper of an optical disc drive includes upper and lower assembly blocks(100,200), spring supporting bosses(104,204), springs(106,206), and contact members(108,208). The upper and lower assembly blocks are formed on a deck base(10) and respectively have insertion holes(102,202) into which a read screw(14) is inserted. The spring supporting bosses are respectively formed in the insertion holes. One side of each of the springs is combined with each of the spring supporting bosses. The contact members are respectively combined with the other sides of the springs to elastically press the read screw according to the restoring force of the springs.
