FIELD: magnetic data recording methods; data transmitting and receiving, recording and processing equipment. SUBSTANCE: method depends on distribution of binary data signals among code groups according to specified maximums and minimums of amplitude extremes and depending on values of code groups of sine signal segments and their recording on medium. Diagnostic sequences of sine signal segments are recorded on medium, each sequence being shaped at definite combination of length and maximum and minimum amplitude extremes of sections; current values of amplitude extremes in these sequences depend on values of respective codes of reference sequence. Diagnostic sequences recorded on desired section of medium are read out before recording information on this section. Combinations of record parameters corresponding to correct reading are determined, record parameters corresponding to desired quantitative requirements with respect to record density and correctness of data sequence read-out are specified, and sequences of sine-signal service and data segments are shaped and recorded on medium with these record parameters.
