<p>To produce a multi-layer seal , e.g. as a cylinder head gasket for an internal combustion motor, at least one sealing layer (144) is produced as a section (124) of a start material. The outer contour lines of two neighboring sealing layers are cut with the same tool. The advance movement step (v) in the production machine is equal to the width (b) of a finished seal layer. The release cutting line (145) is cut at the outer contour line together with a corner. The sealing layer is bonded to at least one further layer, projecting from the corner of the first layer and/or includes the path of the release cutting line following the outer contour line, where a second outer contour line is smoothly against it.</p> |
