<p>A slide fastener comprises a pair of fastener tapes (12, 12A) having fastener elements (10, 10A) that constitute the engagement part and a slider (20, 20A) for opening and closing the fastener tape. The fastener elements (10, 10A) project from the tapes (12, 12A), and the projections are joined with each other so that the pair of fastener tapes are joined one above the other.
